Web Proxy Servers - Why Web Proxy Servers Don't Work

Web proxy servers are just one kind of proxy that you can use online to remain anonymous.  There are many kinds of proxy servers, sadly the worst kind are web proxies.  If you are serious about changing or hiding your IP online, web proxies are not the answer.  Their lack of anonymity and poor performance is the reason anyone wanting to change their IP online should use an elite proxy instead.

Web proxies are found all over the internet, mainly because they can be setup in almost no time.  They aren't great proxies because they are limited in speed and also because the kind of content or websites they allow you to visit is limited.  Many web proxies can't display video or have other features disabled that many websites require.  This means that more often than not you can't even visit your favourite website using a web proxy.

Elite proxies are the best solution for an online proxy to remain anonymous because they give you IPs that are completely anonymous and also because using an elite proxy is really no different to using your home computer to surf the internet.  Elite proxies allow you to visit every kind of website and there is no way to detect an elite proxy.  Web proxies are easily detected, making using them almost pointless, but elite proxies can cloak themselves making detection impossible.

Web proxy servers offer very little if any anonymity and are usually very slow.  If you want the best a proxy server has to offer, get an elite proxy instead.
